MOSAUER APARTMENTS

This was a proposal for a low cost 10-unit apartment building in the San Fernando Valley. Instead of the normally undifferentiated sideyard access, it offers a symmetry of elements around an implied central courtyard through which residents pass on the way to their apartments. The elevation facing the street is broken up into a playful array of architectural objects to give the project a slightly more whimsical interface with the larger urban fabric.
